How to create a monitoring task to record food cooking temperatures?

Find out how to create a food cooking temperature log of your food items to keep your customers safe.

    Follow these easy steps to create a monitoring task to record food cooking temperature.

    • Give a name to your monitoring task (for example - Food core temperature log)

    • Relate your task to rooms and equipment to save time on sorting and completing your daily food safety-related tasks

    Please note!


    • Select the Form option (Form/Checklist)
    • Add educative instructions to your monitoring task. Read how to do it.
    • Specify the Task frequency according to your company's needs:

    Please note:

    • If you don't find a suitable frequency from the dropdown, choose 'Custom frequency.' Read here how to set it up
    • For unregular tasks that you register once in a while, choose 'Not specified.'  They will be marked grey in your app.

     

    Please note! It is a recommended practice to record the internal temperature of each batch - or the equivalent of whatever it is you’re cooking.

    • Select the executor (the team who is responsible for this task)
    Please note! If you don't find a suitable role from the dropdown, read How to create new team roles.

    • Click on ADD FIELD and select Choose product from the list
      • Type in the word: Temperature in the empty field under the Title
    • Click on ADD FIELD and select Enter temperature from the list
      • Type in the word: Temperature in the empty field under the Title
    • Set up the required Min and Max temperature range for cooking
      • Tick on/off If entry is out of limits, ask for an explanation
        - Tick on - this will enable a pop up with a list of corrective actions to select if the temperature entry is outside of the temperature range
      • Type in the word: Corrective action in the empty field under the Question
      • Click on ADD OPTION
      • Create and input a list of corrective actions (you can add as many corrective actions as you need)
      • Tick on Use "Add other" option - user will be able to type in a customer corrective action
      • Click SAVE

    You can always come back to your monitoring task and apply any changes: add more fields, edit corrective actions, change frequencies, etc.

    •  Inform your team so they can start monitoring the task
